Visit the Award-Winning Experience this Winter

This winter, Fort Edmonton Park invites you to gather and explore life through the diversity of First Nations and Métis peoples. The award-winning exhibit explores the rich and beautiful cultures of First Nations and Métis Peoples while encouraging visitors to seek out the truths as lived by Indigenous Peoples.

Saturdays and Sundays 

12 pm - 4 pm - January 14 to March 26, 2023

BONUS: Each ticket holder for the Indigenous Peoples Experience Admission will receive one free general admission ticket of equal or lesser value for the 2023 summer season.

Buy Tickets

  • Please purchase tickets online here. Tickets are not available at the Guard House. 
  • Please, do not attempt to park in the main parking lot and walk through the Front Entry Plaza. This gate will be inaccessible.
  • Parking is available at Lot K beside Indigenous Peoples Experience, please enter through the service road.
  • We don't recommend using the Edmonton Transit System for the Indigenous Peoples Experience as you are not able to walk on the service road to get to the exhibit.

Are tickets available at the gate?
Tickets are not available at the Front Gate, please purchase online in advance. 

How much are tickets?
Daily admissions tickets are as follows:

Adult (18+)                                 $20.00
Child/Youth (3-17)                       $12.00
Family (2 adults & up to 3 kids)    $50.00

I heard I get free admission to the 2023 summer season with my purchase. Is that correct?
Yes, that’s correct. You will receive free admission of equal or lesser value. Instructions to claim your free admission will be sent out in late spring. 

Do I need a printed copy or can I show it on my smartphone?
Either is fine.

I had a summer pass, can that be used for admission?
The summer pass was valid only until September 5, 2022, which was the end of our summer season. 

I’m not feeling well. Can I get a refund?
Please stay home if you’re not feeling well. Tickets are non-refundable, however, you may switch your ticket to a different date. 

Are tickets refundable?
Tickets are non-refundable.

How many people does a family admission cover? 
A family admission includes two adults and up to 3 children living in the same household.

What should I do if I have not received a booking confirmation email?
Please check your spam folder. If it’s not there, please send an email to info@fortedmontonpark.ca.

I want to bring a large group, are there discounts?
There are no group discounts available. Our sales team would be happy to assist with your group booking. They can be reached at sales@fortedmontonpark.ca

What types of payments do you take?
We are happy to accept Visa, Mastercard, and Interac. 

THE EXPERIENCE

Are the train and streetcars running?
No, the streetcar or the train are not running.

Is there a gift shop open?

The I.A.M Collective will be open Saturday and Sunday from 12 pm to 4 pm inside the Indigenous Peoples Experience. The Indigenous arts collective includes more than seventy First Nations, Métis, and Inuit artists who promote authenticity over appropriation by providing a place for marketgoers to purchase authentic, local Indigenous art.

Will any buildings be open?
Only the Indigenous Peoples Experience will be open. Please note, the remaining buildings within Fort Edmonton Park are not open to the Public during your experience. 

GENERAL

Is parking available?
Yes, parking is available in Parking Lot K, accessible via the service road. See map here. 

How do you get there?
Take Fox Drive to Fort Edmonton Park Road and follow the road into the Park. There are many city streets in the vicinity that have signs that direct to Fort Edmonton Park.

Can I get there by public transit?

We don't recommend using the Edmonton Transit System to visit the Indigenous Peoples Experience as you are not able to walk on the service road to get to the exhibit and the front entry gate will be closed.   

Is smoking allowed?
Fort Edmonton Park is smoke-free.

Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes, Wi-Fi is available across the site.
