Paranormal Tours

Paranormal Tours Return

As the night descends, investigate Fort Edmonton Park's most haunted hotspots and hear our best-kept ghost stories. Come with an open mind, and prepare for the unexpected.
Learn the fundamentals of conducting paranormal investigations using tools and techniques, including Echovox, Spirit Box, Motion Detectors, Recording Devices, Laser Grids and EMF Readers.

This season's investigations include:
Option 1 - Firkins Featured Investigation: Visit the Firkins House, often regarded as the most haunted building at Fort Edmonton Park. With years of speculation and paranormal evidence, this building has more than a few tricks up its sleeve.

Option 2 - Fort Featured Investigation: Back by popular demand you can venture beyond the walls of the Fort Complex and visit the impressive Rowand House. Despite not being an original building, Rowand House is one of Fort Edmonton Park's most paranormal active buildings with experiences ranging from footsteps running and shadows moving.

As our investigations are authentic, we cannot guarantee paranormal interaction. As a bonus, if a building is "quiet," other buildings may be visited during the investigations.

Please note: This is not the DARK event; this is an authentic paranormal investigation with no actors or decorations. There are no guarantees of paranormal activity, and no scare gimmicks will be used. Please dress for winter weather, as we will spend extra time outdoors. Wear proper winter footwear, as there will be periods of walking outdoors as we move between haunted locations. This event requires long periods of focus, stillness, and concentration, so it is unsuitable for those under 14.

What to expect?
Depending on your selected option, Paranormal Tours take place in the Fort Complex or the Firkins House. During the experience, you will actively conduct a paranormal investigation using various tools, including Echovox, Spirit Box, Motion Detectors, Recording Devices, Laser Grids and EMF readers, while hearing some of Fort Edmonton Park’s best-kept ghost stories.

We can not guarantee any paranormal interaction. This experience is authentic, and no gimmicks will be used. No previous experience or equipment is required, but welcome. There will be periods of walking, standing and limited use of stairs, with some time spent seated. Please note, due to the historic nature of these buildings, they are not accessible via wheelchair.

Can I get there by public transit or rideshare?

If you have accessibility concerns or are arriving by taxi, uber or rideshare, please email info@fortedmontonpark.ca

Is parking available?
Yes, parking is available in front of the Fort in Parking Lot K, accessible via the service road.

What to bring?
This event runs in all weather conditions and requires exposure to the elements as we walk outdoors between locations. Please wear solid footwear and dress appropriately for the weather conditions. Due to the historic nature of our site, many of our buildings are kept at 18 degrees Celsius for preservation standards. Therefore, please dress warmly and comfortably for this event.

Sealed water bottles are permitted during the event, but no other food or beverages are allowed in the historic buildings.

You are welcome to bring your own paranormal investigation tools that do not involve recording devices (audio recorders, cameras etc.).

Who trained your team?
Our team of Experience Guides have been trained as Paranormal Investigators by Ghost Hunt Alberta.
