Program Information

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Holiday Program Field Trips are available for bookings from November 14 to December 19, 2025 (Monday-Friday). They DO NOT include General Admissions to Fort Edmonton Park as the Park is CLOSED to the public during these times.

Please note: all programs are curricular-linked and 2 hours long.

Merry Christmas, Edmonton

Based on an actual Christmas pageant that took place in 1885, your class will join us to help with the preparations!

The year is 1885, and Edmonton is preparing to hold its annual Christmas pageant at the church. The town is caught up in the spirit of preparations. Based on an actual Christmas pageant that took place in 1885, your class will join us to help with the preparations. We will remember the traditions of early Edmontonians and prepare decorations, make a treat, and stage our own nativity scene in the church.

Celebrate the season around the world with us, right from Fort Edmonton Park! Explore the traditions of the holiday season from cultures that call Edmonton home in the past, and today. Make a treat, play games, and discover how families marked this season. We can’t wait to learn and celebrate with you!

Grade 3:

  • Knowledge: Multiculturalism is about different cultural communities keeping their identity and creating a sense of belonging.
