Indigenous Peoples Experience

Grades 3-6

Learn, Experience, Teach Traditional Indigenous Games

Indigenous peoples have dynamic ways of learning. With an Indigenous educator, you and your students will tour through the Indigenous Peoples Experience learning about Indigenous ways of knowing. At each stop along the way, games will be connected to key learnings. Students will employ skills of practice, patience, and enjoyment while learning that survival often rests on the mastery of skills. Students will come to understand that education includes the whole being: the mind, the body, the emotions, and the spirit. This program is a celebration of the ongoing vibrancy of Indigenous life and culture.

*This program is developed following the purpose of the Indigenous Peoples Experience: Children of all ages and nations gathering in the spirit of friendship to learn, laugh, and play.
