During your self-guided tour at the Park, connect with your class by adding a one-hour, hands-on activity led by one of our museum interpreters. Customize your itinerary and add programs that suit your class's learning goals.

Mikiwap (Tipi) Teaching - Learn to set up a tipi in the traditional nêhiyawak (Cree) style!
Beading - Students can try their hand at beading and make a bracelet or a keychain to take home.
Finger Weaving - Students learn to make a version of the Métis sash.
Double Ball - Classes have the opportunity to play a game that is similar to modern-day lacrosse.
Heritage Games - Discover what games children played over 100 years ago by having fun with your classmates.
Travois - Students will work together in small groups to construct their own travois!
School Lesson - Compare and contrast what being a student was over 100 years ago, and discover what a school day looked like at the turn of the century in Edmonton.
General Information
Self-Guided Field Trips include Admission to the Park. You can book up to 30 students and 8 adults per class at a time.
Please note, if booking for multiple classes, you must register on a separate booking.
During your Self-Guided Field Trip, you have the option to add on one or more Mini-Programs. Mini-Programs are one-hour, hands-on activities led by one of our cultural experts.

Please note, Spring Field Trips do not include General Admission, as the Park is closed. The General Admission Season officially opens on May 21st, 2022 and is open Wednesday-Sunday weekly.
