Homeschool Day at the Park

Fort Edmonton Park is excited to announce a special day dedicated to homeschooling families! Immerse your children in a rich, hands-on learning environment where history comes to life. Our Homeschool Day is designed for students to participate in a variety of multi-sensory and diverse learning activities that bring their education to life through inquiry and experiential learning.

  • Interactive Historical Exhibits: Explore various eras of Edmonton’s history, from the fur trading era to the 1920s, including our award-winning Indigenous Peoples Experience, filled with interactive exhibits that engage children and stimulate their curiosity.
  • Immersive Programs: Participate in a range of programs! These programs cover topics such as pioneer life, traditional crafts, and historical trades, providing a deeper understanding of the past.
  • Explore the Park: Interact with our knowledgeable interpreters throughout Fort Edmonton Park who highlight key historical events and figures, ensuring a comprehensive and enriching experience. Don't forget to ride the Ferris Wheel, hop on the historic steam train and vintage street cars, and more!
  • Hands-On Activities: Enjoy hands-on activities that encourage creativity and critical thinking. From traditional games to crafts, these activities are designed to make learning fun and memorable.

  • Admission: Discounted rate of 19.80$ (+GST) per child (3-17) 
    Note: Teachers & Chaperones - Free Admission (Max of 8 per group)
    Homeschool Day tickets include Admission to the Park. You can book up to 30 students and 8 adults per class at a time.
