2018/2019 Educational Programs – Fort on the Road

Beginning in Fall 2018, onsite School Programs at Fort Edmonton Park will be taking a 1 to 2 year hiatus as we ready the site for much-needed and anticipated features for the Fort Edmonton Park Enhancement Project. These include an upgrade of the existing underground utilities, a new front entry plaza and admissions facility, an expansion of the Hotel Selkirk and the 1920s Midway, plus the addition of the new Indigenous Peoples Experience. We look forward to welcoming students from across the city and province in the coming years to showcase our renowned programming at Fort Edmonton Park.

During this time, we are excited to be offering outreach and offsite School Programs to meet our students and teachers in their classrooms during the months of May and June. We bring everything to the classroom including artifacts, hands-on activities, and lessons, all led by our Education Interpreter team.

The Park looks forward to seeing students and educators in the classroom soon!

*Hands-on with artifacts is a part of every offsite program

Currently, these programs are only offered to locations within Edmonton city limits. Program requests that are outside city limits are considered on a case-by-case basis.
