Stories on the Hills 2017

MARCH 16-18, 2017

Folk Lordz presents Stories on the Hills March 16-18, 2017 at Fort Edmonton Park. After a sold out debut in 2016, Folk Lordz is thrilled to announce that Stories on the Hills is expanding to three full days of multidisciplinary Indigenous storytelling.
“The growth of the festival represents the growth of Indigenization and decolonization in Edmonton’s arts scene,” Todd Houseman, cofounder of Stories on the hills says.” This helps to connect us as Edmontonians to our storytelling history on this land. Edmonton has always been a pehonan, or gathering place, and I’m delighted to continue bringing people together though stories here.”
This year, 18 Indigenous artists will converge on Treaty 6 territory at Fort Edmonton Park for three nights of art and the sharing of stories, including the introduction of a youth-specific night on March 16 that will help to foster creative talents in the next generation of cultural leaders.
