Fort Edmonton Park Sleepover Gr. 7 – 9Wake up to the historic scenery of Fort Edmonton Park and see our city as the early residents of Edmonton viewed it. An interpreter will provide your group with a variety of learning experiences catered to your needs. In addition, you can cook your meals over the hearth or an old wood stove.
History Immersion – Fort Edmonton Gr. 7 - 12Immerse your students into Edmonton’s history through this customized program. Work with an interpreter to plan activities to meet your specific learning objectives. Themes and activities can include any combination of the following: fur trade, native history, settlement times, early Edmonton, governments, cooking/baking, toy building and more!
Fur Trade Fort Tour Gr. 7 – 9How did they all get along? The European Fur traders, First Nations people, and the Métis had an interesting relationship inside and outside the fort walls. This popular program will take you to the heart of life in 1846 Fort Edmonton. You’ll visit the trade store, the homes of the labourers and tradesmen, and Chief Factor John Rowand’s massive home, and in the process you’ll learn all about how our city began.
