Executive Chef - Henry Palmer
Chef Henry Palmer has been cooking for more than 25 years in
kitchens throughout the world. Henry began his career after school
working in a pastry shop in his home resort town Negril, Jamaica.
Henry worked in various positions and even owned his own health
food shop.
Henry then moved into the all inclusive resorts community,
throughout the Caribbean Islands mastering many position within
these resorts. Here, Henry gained a great deal of training and
experience as he moved up in the ranks as a "Sous Chef" for Sandals
resort in Jamaica.
Henry and his family moved to Edmonton in 1997 for new
opportunities. Gaining more experience at various hotels, he was
presented with the opportunity to open and manage the kitchen at
Hotel Selkirk in July 2003. Henry continues to provide our valued
guests with outstanding food and creative selections. Chef Henry
enjoys creating his favourite Caribbean cuisine from time to time
at Hotel
Selkirk.
