Fort Edmonton Park is 158 acres of beautiful wooded parkland
nestled along Edmonton's river valley, and provides an authentic
learning and interactive tourism experience for visitors of all
ages. Included right at the Park is the Hotel Selkirk, an
elegant and quiet 29-room boutique hotel with historic roots but
all the amenities and modern comforts.
Our costumed interpreters will bring history to life at our 1846
Hudson's Bay fort and Cree encampment. Walk the 1885, 1905
and 1920 streets to see what life really was like 100-150 years
ago. Ride our steam train, trolley car and stagecoach, and
visit over 70 historically accurate buildings of these four
eras.
In 2012, Fort Edmonton Park will be open to the public from May
19 through to September 30. Be sure to make all of this part
of your visit to Fort Edmonton Park.
